Our Story

Four Decades of Artisan Silver

The Beginning

From Art Deco
to Artisan Silver

What began over 40 years ago as a passion for Art Deco jewelry evolved into something far richer. In 1986, Deco Jewelry was born at Eastern Market in Washington, DC — a place where craftsmanship and community have always met.

Over the decades, our focus shifted from vintage Art Deco pieces to something we came to love even more: the extraordinary work of artisan silversmiths in Thailand. We travel to source our pieces personally, building relationships with craftspeople whose skill and attention to detail is unmatched.

Every piece we carry is handpicked — chosen because it's beautiful, wearable, and made to last. Nothing mass-produced, nothing generic. Just sterling silver jewelry with real character.

Our Philosophy

Curated, Not
Mass-Produced

In a world of fast fashion and disposable jewelry, we've always done things differently. Every piece we sell has been held, examined, and chosen — not for a catalog, but because we genuinely believe in it.

Sterling silver is our material of choice because it ages beautifully, holds its value, and carries the mark of the hands that shaped it. Thai artisans bring centuries of silversmithing tradition to every piece, and we bring that tradition to Eastern Market every weekend.

Whether you're buying a gift or treating yourself, you're getting something real — a piece with a story behind it, made to be worn and loved for years.
